Our audio producer is out of town and it’s a good thing too, or we’d have had to tell him that we didn’t need him this week. We didn’t need him because we wanted to do something different: we wanted to look at 2017, the entire year, and see what we’ve accomplished. It’s been a lot, you know? We’ve done a lot. You’ve done a lot.
We started 2017 with episode 93, “The Tale of the Missing Girls” by Dani Rado. We ended with episode 140, “The Lost Children” by Cynthia Zhang. Okay, so maybe we like spooky stories that also say a lot about the patriarchy, and about women and girls, and about the world we live in.
Also in 2017, we were lucky enough to interview the great Kathy Fish, mistress of flash fiction, as well as author Daryl Gregory.
We interviewed writers who’ve barely been published before, and writers who’d been published widely and greatly.
We’ve had one disgruntled interviewee in the bunch, which happens. Everyone else has been pretty pleased as far as we can tell.

Joy to you in 2018, and let’s make it another kickass year for The Other Stories!
